Silver Falls State Park

A trip to Oregon isn't complete without a visit to Silver Falls State Park. There are 14 miles of trails to hike, if you have the time and the energy. We went in the late afternoon and only got to spend about an hour or two there, but it is still nice to visit. Of the dozen or so falls, we only visited 2 -- the south falls and Frenchie Falls. The South Falls are pictured above. Frenchie Falls looked more like a wet wall than a falls. Still, the overall scenery cannot be beat.

Harvey,
I really like this picture. This looks something like you have taken (and posted) a few years ago. Is it the same place?
How far did you have to hike to get to this location?
I don't know how many photos I've taken of these falls. As I said in the blog, I visit here as often as I can. What I didn't say is I've been doing so since I was about 16 years old or so. If I don't have much time, I at least make these falls which are right next to a parking lot. It is less than a 5 minute walk to get to where I shot this particular shot.
