Padres vs Rockies

An atypical day at Petco Park. We went to the game with Bev's group from work. I even think the company subsidized the tickets. It was a rare Wednesday afternoon game, so we had to leave work early (too bad). Fortunately, our seats were in the shade, so we didn't have to suffer the blazing sun, but could still enjoy the game.

We got to see a good game, Trevor Time, and a Pads victory. What more could one ask for an afternoon of baseball?

Happy Birthday Bev

For Bev's XX birthday, we went out to dinner at the Brigantine with our usual suspects -- and this line-up shot is that cast, missing a few kids. This is the same crew we play cards with pretty much every week.

Both John and Darby called me individually, requesting that I bring my camera to take this shot. Their gift was to be a photo of our group in a fancy fame they had bought. Well, they remembered to bring the frame, but not their camera -- thus the panicked call from both of them.

Caroline's Sr Pic

We've been going to try to shoot Caroline's Senior Picture all year -- but just never got around to it until we needed a photo like, NOW for the graduation announcements. This was the result. It's not a bad picture, per se, but it isn't great either. Perhaps I'll have an opportunity to get a better one later. Yeah. That might happen. Posted by Picasa

Unhappy Cub Fans

It was great-- a coworker of mine is a big Cubs fan and every year arranges a group outing to one of the Cubs/Padres games. I've gone to several before and even if the Pads win 2 out of 3, it seems we always end up going to the game the Pads lose. This year was the very pleasant exception -- the Pads won handily. Neither of the Cubs fans in the photo were my coworker, but considering the Pads swept the Cubs for the entire season this year, he should have a bag over his head -- or at least keep it hung in shame.

More photos from out outing can be seen by clicking the title link.

Golf Tournament Photo Assignment

I got a photography job shooting foursomes at a charity golf tournament. We set up on the 10th tee, close to the clubhouse and waited for the foursomes to come to us. Well, me, mainly. Caroline (my daughter and photo assistant) did post-processing and printing of photos already shot while I waited and shot the next foursome. Our goal was to be done printing and framing all foursome shots 1 hour after the last foursome crossed my path. We made it fine.

This shot of me was done by Caroline, from the 10th tee, while we waited for the first foursome to show up.
